The Joys of Thesis Writing...

My time has been spent writing as of late. I think this has much to do with me starting up this blog again... it has become a way for me to avoid my thesis. Anyway, I must be done with it by June 9th, so I can't avoid too much. Chris has been extremely tolerant of me, my many moods (stress induced), and my writing.

So in case you are interested... my thesis is more of a project dealing with stress in elementary school students. I have focused on this as I believe that today more pressure is put on students to succeed academically, and that push to excel unfortunately has begun in kindergarten! This is especially true for the affluent community that I work in where parents are highly educated and want the same for their children. To me it's scary that a 4.0 (and higher) is not enough to get you in to the college of your choice. Students today must excel in MANY areas, often leaving students overscheduled, overburdened, and overwhelmed. To read more on students and stress check out these articles:
